Bolaño posthumously, the traces of a magnitude
For those still mourning the untimely death of Roberto Bolaño, the release of a new novel posthumously after the immeasurable 2666 is in itself an event to celebrate . Also because the boom of the Chilean writer in recent years - left the United States where, however, have made an unlikely icon of youthful rebellion very restrictive, as well as philological incorrect, compared to its real literary greatness - has created a real generation of scholars who anxiously awaited the publication of The Third Reich , of the press talked for a long time. The book, published in Italy by Adelphi, is remarkable, and the hand of Bolaño always inspired. However, this is a novel written in 1989, which was still nine years before the great masterpiece published in Life, The Savage Detectives, and shows on some pages not yet completed the metamorphosis into the wonderful and the obscure poet infrarealista Universal Magnetic narrator able to tell as few others the edge of the abyss. Yet, though sometimes ruthless, The Third Reich bolan is a novel in every sense, with some of the characters really well and some phrases that are already see the impending greatness. You can read, for example, on page 29: "As animals of the deep, black shoes formed in an island uniform among the shadows that covered the beach. Sitting on a float in one of those strange vehicles, his shirt unbuttoned and his hair uncombed, Charly was waiting for us. "Very nice, even without context.
How Raymond Carver (and reminded of the memorable final line of the poem drinking and driving : "My brother gives me the elbow. In a minute, maybe, something will happen"), Bolaño is also a master at creating a tense atmosphere around the events that, in large part, in the eyes of all of us would look like normal: a holiday on the Costa Brava, the friendship with the Spaniards idle, the encounter with the mature and charming owner of the hotel the empty beach at night or during a summer storm. But from the beginning, perhaps because the lens always vaguely hallucinatory the narrator - Udo Berger, wargame enthusiast, from which the title is the name of one of these games, but obviously that can not Bolaño also be an entire universe - the novel slides along a boundary that our minds of readers feel bright signposts that mention the word "Danger". The tragedy comes, perhaps , but basically this is not the point, a closer look than ever. What unites
The Third Reich and the greatest novels later Bolaño is the sharpness with which utilizes its epiphanies ("What a stupid thing to die on holiday, I commented") and the intuition that a certain " manner," it said in a tone very flattering, it is necessary to establish a mythology. In the history of Udo, Ingeborg, Hanna and Frau Else (Mrs. fascinating character, but when she is writing Bolaño lose something) the hand of the great Chilean gets to visionary moments, interspersed, however, some weakness. There are still signs of an author who was forming , who had seen the way to go and, with his great talent, he tried to beat a different path, that in a few years he would have devoted the largest narrators of the XXI century.

Christmas 2010
Even this Christmas has passed and we can draw conclusions on its activities in the first quarter, five initiatives that in total we have earned about € 5000! Marketplace Gallery, collaboration with Centro Vivo, selling cakes, sell calendars and T-shirts for sale. Great results are always the result of great tasks and efforts: this year the participation was limited and then forced him to greater efforts those who participated. It is therefore thanks to these parents really felt, because without their help we would not have achieved that went beyond the more expectations. A double thanks that should be added to the difficulties encountered and overcome critical obstacles in our way by those who did not believe that these initiatives and has sought to sow zizzagna within our group. Well, as I pointed out to Nicole, we must let the facts speak. It 's true! So, I thank all parents who have sold and / or purchased by the Committee cakes, meshes, objects in the market and lottery tickets. I thank those who have actively engaged in initiatives and in particular:

Stewart & Hostess Service
New for our city, this service offered by dealers to their customers Vivo Center got under way Saturday, December 11. We parents were there and ready to respond to requests from stores. During the first two days of active service, Saturday and Sunday, we received calls and we then spent three hours walking and chatting along the porticoes of Corso Martiri. We hope that the service is of any use, and we thank the Centre still live for this proposal, which recognizes us for taking the time a small amount of money that we bring into the coffers of our classes. If you have some time come and you too: with a little effort we bring home a small nest egg that will help our classes to cover small emergencies. I thank the parents who have launched this initiative and we look for next weekend.

Belpoliti and Pasolini: the master finish eating
" Pasolini now is to accept as a great poet of modernity, but is objectionable in the complex reality of our present he is not there, we do not need . Belpoliti Marco, influential essayist and lecturer, explains the paradox in Kilgore that is the basis of His latest book, a pamphlet on the great poet from Friuli that stresses the importance homosexuality in his work and asks, provocatively, but not too much, to eat the master, as suggested by the crow Toto in Pasolini's film Hawks and the Sparrows . Pasolini in spicy sauce (published by Bloomsbury Publishing) is an essay that brings together several writings that address the issue of sexuality the poet, his physicality and its darker sides, those who depart from the "dark bowels" of the Ashes of Gramsci.
The result is a brilliant and provocative little book, which throws a stone in the unspoken of society - cultural, but not only - Italian and leads readers to reflect today from a different perspective on the human and artistic (ethics and aesthetics should perhaps say) of an intellectual who does not end an era and to the scandal, but today - in the metaphor of Belpoliti - should be digested by then to have the opportunity to look ahead.
Belpoliti Pasolini tells us about a membership that requires all-encompassing, so as to create " paradox of being right, wrong or even when turning the perspective with which they disagree, even when he's right. "The theme of the duality of the poet is ubiquitous in the essays of Belpoliti, even in the one devoted to portraits of Pasolini made by Ugo Mulas: The writer is described as an "old-boy " where the obvious and deep wrinkles joins the constant expression of surprise and discovery. The profile that emerges is so much real as that fond of the cover which reconstructs Belpoliti page after page. But the affection does not cover the heart of the controversial essay, which raises the deck for 35 years - many years have passed since the death of Pasolini - seems to be silent on most disturbing part of the personality of the poet: his eroticism. Belpoliti speaks explicitly - referring to Walter Siti, writer and scholar of Pasolini - "a cult of beauty and the sacred in Friuli that take the form of gift and rape." The word falls like a boulder on the table of intellectuals, but it is this that you are talking like you are talking about another huge social taboo, "pedophilia."
"Pasolini - Belpoliti says - it is still scandalous in a homophobic society like ours because he was not interested in the relationship between two equal adults homosexual, his model is the relationship between an adult man, himself, and a straight guy. This is one of the roots of his poetic and intellectual diversity . We live in an era post-gay, and now is incollocabile Pasolini, belongs to the past. "Moving on literary analysis Belpoliti you do, if anything, even more explicit:" Pasolini should be read for the sweetness of his poetry , but it is a poem dead farther from us than that of Dante . And 'poor that Italy is no more and disappeared. "Pirate and Italy that the writer loved Lutheran relation to aspects such as intense sexual repression that made - in his words - the most beautiful and young - adds Belpoliti - more open to adventure homoerotic.
Belpoliti Mark's speech, however, is directed primarily to the present and, citing new sites that presented the book in Rome in recent days, recalls that after his death, Pasolini was used to silence many intellectuals under the banner " see how outrageous he was, you're not even capable. " "Eat Pasolini - explains Belpoliti - means taking responsibility to speak today, even wrong." And the professor does not hold some back: "Today - explains with passion - the intellectuals are not free to express themselves not in a choir. Who does not fall into these patterns (and names Belpoliti ago: Cortellessa, Trevi, Scurati, ed) is hard to find space. "The analysis then moves to the pressing news:" Today's sexual imagery Colpo Grosso came to power, and the obscene ritual of Bunga Bunga is something that goes beyond even the distinction between male and female. "
last remark, but not least, the murder of Pasolini. Belpoliti says he has never said that the poet was killed by Pelosi and only be favorable to the reopening of investigations. "But I do not think was killed for political reasons . The chapter of stolen oil - which some of the truths contained on Mattei's death and would have resulted in the murder of Pasolini - he did not see anyone, is a fantasy, expresses the paranoia of Italian intellectuals. "

Myth About Nose Being Ithcy
Realization?
Everything is changing ... it is changing.
Nisargadatta said to warn that the change must, of necessity, be an unchanging background.
I believe that the change would be enough to warn you believe something unchangeable, but it is not, however, seems to stand still because, compared to our perception, it moves so slowly as to appear firm and to allow the perception of "changeable".
observing the movement of people but I do not notice the Earth, therefore, conclude that the so-called "immutable background" is just an illusion.
Extremely, the changeless can not be perceived ... is what is called Nothing, Nothing, and I can not relate to anything.
There is no goal, there is only now ... and even forever, because now it is only now, whatever it is composed at a conceptual level (so-called "present moment")
Yahweh ( mutable to appear or otherwise) is made.
Eternally He is Done, Now.
The so-called man (apparent change in the Now), then, what such be implemented?
What liberation?
Who and what?

The spirit of survival is dictated by Being.
Being is not the body, but depends on it.
As if we were hanging by a rope over a chasm, although we are not the rope, we depend on it.
why so much concern for a rope, which then leads to affect so much to think that the rope itself, and live only according to its maintenance.
No body = no love.
But even with the body, if there are nothing to worry about = Love.

One has to understand what is a function of how and why the roles were reversed.
Mind identify who comes with the Unconditional Love has not made a single step to freedom from the spirit of survival of the body, because if he loses ... loses himself / a.
The solution to this paradox is fully and completely enjoy the Pure Being there (Love), UP TO THAT WILL BE HAPPY AND TIRED , so we can give at any time.
So, I presume, will the self, not even the desire to be.

Joshua Ferris: "The novel complication
And 'one of the authors that Time magazine had reported in the three most important American writers of the new generation, but when you see him, calmly answered Joshua Ferris "I do not care at all ." Born in Illinois nearly 36 years ago, Ferris has already achieved worldwide success with debut novel Then We Came the end, and now is Festivaletteratura Mantova present the new job, I do not know your name , both published by Blacks Pozza. This is the story of a man, Tim, afflicted by a mysterious illness which leads him to leave his life happy and successful start to walk, without stopping and without a precise destination, not until exhaustion takes over.
VIDEO: Joshua Ferris recommends his book
A fascinating and complex novel, full of style and pages (350 in the Italian edition), which is the basic idea of \u200b\u200bthe writer. "The novel - Ferris explained to Kilgore - is the place where it meets the complexity . You can not reach it with a post on Twitter, but you can do with a novel." Someone, simplistically, read the flight of the protagonist as an escape from happiness, but Ferris rejects this interpretation ( It 's very easy to make a' tweet 'about this idea "):" There is nothing more than that Tim wants to stay at home. But he can not do it, it can not. " And as in a mirror in which the feelings are multiplied to infinity, the novel confuses and impresses the reader with the "oblique beauty" that Ferris shows how the characteristics of what he calls a "perfect novel".
An example of a perfect book, according to Joshua Ferris, is Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov: "In a novel there must be a message - he said - just different kinds of pleasures . The novel contains all that perfect, 'Lolita' evokes mystery and then leads to the possible truth. It has the magic of a grand final, with a feeling of great clarity, without a proper conclusion. "A philosophical background, Ferris has the merit of putting the reader in the face of moral dilemmas , in the case of no I know your name, for example, that of keeping a marriage in difficult conditions, or that of the comparison with an illness - because it is undoubtedly that of Tim - but it is not identified in any way, and remains a disturbing noise fund under the narration and in the lives of the characters of Joshua Ferris.
"Marriage - explains the writer - is a report difficult, the institute is almost always in crisis, it's really complicated. I was very concerned as the theme for the novel, because it contains all the more complicated one: being together of two people, however, remain forever separate. "As for the walk irrepressible Tim, who obviously can not involve Jane his wife and teenage daughter Becka, Ferris explained that "is obviously a metaphor of the disease, but it is not then that really forces the novel to confront the need to express realistically the difficulties of the family and at the same time also dealing a syndrome that is just fantastic. "Along the border you test the strength of the book.
VIDEO: The state's second novel Ferris
critic Lev Grossman, always on time, praised Ferris but at the same time expressed the hope that the next novel - in which the writer has confirmed that he is already working - put Register with the most comic book of the first and the most tragic of the second. " With a little 'luck - Ferris said, smiling - I'll make it."

Co-ed Baby Shower Bbq And May
Paul Murray, a new chapter in the total
"It 's impossible to get a whole world in a book." This is how Paul Murray, 35 year-old writer Dublin author of the novel surprising Skippy dies, leaving in Italy for the types of issues in delicious necklace Special Isbn Books. But after reading the book, a work that begins with a history of elite college students in a Catholic and then explodes in a thousand other suggestions , one suspects that Murray actually has approached to create something that looks really a world. Monumental novel (815 pages in small enough character) dies Skippy is an object difficult to circumscribe , new piece of that history ever - surprisingly - in the novel development which is total. From Moby Dick to 'Ulysses , literary history is punctuated by moments bring havoc on the scene and change the tables. Without wishing to be compared to Melville and Joyce Murray , comparison almost impossible for anyone, the fact remains that it is in that groove that his novel is going to place with the right mix of narration, more or less classical and veritable literary epiphanies .
"When I started writing the book - said Paul Murray Kilgore - I thought of a story, but then I realized that the environment of the school you could put a lot: after all, is a crucial period of life in which develop their personalities and you are forced to deal with diverse people. And through this ploy could face many aspects of Irish life. " The stories of Daniel "Skippy" Juster , whose fate is manifest from the title and fulfilled even in the prologue, and his classmates, teachers, parents and religious who run the school, seem almost a pretext to create a choral work, full of references to something else, in which Murray creates a large number of linguistic registers. To the writer "the style is immensely important . I'm Irish - he explained - and our literature is obsessed by language, in the wake of authors such as Joyce or Beckett. In this novel, the challenge was just to find the so many different voices for characters. "
addition to linguistic influences, which are still the backbone of the literature and that alone could "do" the novel, dies Skippy is also an interesting kaleidoscope of ideas : from the latest scientific theories of origin ' universe of considerations on the sense of history, from the syntax of SMS to the always complex world of family feelings. Which stands well as a work deeply rooted in the present. "We live a very interesting time - said Murray - with new media and Internet are changing our civilization. The novel must adjust must contain all of these things. " And when asked how it would do a big book of 800 pages of instant messaging at the time, Murray says, "In the Internet there is certainly a quick use of the content, but there is also a universe of information and references that you keep glued to the video for days. It 's something that recalls Joyce's attempt to encapsulate a whole book in a single day, with plenty of connections and relationships. "
addition to the proud Irish tradition, Paul Murray is also looking at two giants - in their own way enigmatic - of recent literature: Roberto Bolaño and Thomas Pynchon , Which is united by seemingly insignificant coincidences. "The Chilean - said the writer has an incredibly powerful language and Pynchon is a hero. Both are writers of great courage. " Murray knows that Paul is not intended in the near future to join the club.

Making A Football Helmet Cake
Bolaño novel Amulet, and the" secret "of 2666
Roberto Bolaño just carry on, at least for the publication of his works. Pending in Italy also announced two new songs for the next few months here that Adelphi republishes Amulet , a novel false-yellow 1999, the new version of the valiant hispanist ILIDA Carmignani. A dark history, secret is probably the more appropriate term, as told in person by Auxilio Lacouture, the "mother of all young Mexican poets," who lived his moment of fame when it closed the rest - basically immobile - in a cabinet at the University of Mexico City as the military were raided on campus Sixty-eight during the riots. That experience, which Bolaño tells with the usual lucid and visionary mad at the same time, he left an indelible mark on the young woman, who by that time brings its own strength alone as an amulet. The horror of the bottom, what the Chilean writer is a master at leaving in the background, as if white noise audible only with special equipment, is just what the political violence that befell an entire generation of young Latin Americans. But, as in all the best pages of Bolaño, the charm of the book lies in the incredible skill with which the writer seems to speak other, leaving only the tracks that the player can choose to follow as not to consider, of course Every road taken will be both perfect and blatantly wrong . Borges, in short, has not gone in vain.
of possible forking paths that lie ahead for the reader, a door straight ahead to a treasure for fans of Bolaño: Amulet pages, in fact, converge most famous characters invented by Chile, on all his alter ego bleating Arturo, Ulises Lima starred with unforgettable masterpiece The Savage Detectives. this novel in which it appears the story of Auxilio, and here already spreads a slight sense of vertigo. But we are only beginning: Page 72 edition Adelphi, in fact, is an unexpected answer to one of the likely questions that have troubled the readers who have loved 2666, the monumental Bolaño's posthumous novel - also here must spend the word masterpiece, it is not redundant is inevitable - the title of which we were all questioned. Along the more than a thousand pages of the book, the mysterious figure never appears. We find, however, in Amulet: "The Guerrero - Bolaño writes about an infamous street in Mexico City - at that time seems more like a cemetery, a cemetery but not the 1974 or 1968, a cemetery, nor a cemetery in 1975, but a cemetery in 2666, a forgotten cemetery under an eyelid dead or never born, the watery eyes of a dispassionate to forget something that has come to forget everything. " Pure Bolaño, a phrase which, alone, worth the ticket price.
The feeling is that basically, the Chilean has always written one big story, declined for purely editorial reasons in various books and collections of short stories, but live as the necessary appendages of a single literary rhizome, which unfolds and forks - a bit 'like the brushstrokes that closes The Baron in the Trees by Italo Calvino - up to trace the whole story of a writer manifest or secret, but no doubt died too soon. One last remark: in this game of coincidences and intersections that leads the reader to lick the boundaries of our world of hell stands another figure: Amulet is the volume 222 Fabula of the series of Adelphi. Multiplying it by three, ie the number of works by Bolaño published so far by the publishing house of Calasso, you get a very disturbing result. It 's just a game, but who knows someone in 2666 can not identify some other type of interpolation.

Farewell to José Saramago (1922-2010)
lived on the island of Lanzarote, Canary Islands, where he was exiled after the outcry and anger provoked by his novel The Gospel According to Jesus Christ . But the career of José Saramago, probably the greatest European writer and one of the world's largest , was full of controversy for his uncompromising stances, the in terms of politics as religion.
Born in Azinhaga, inland Portugal, in 1922, Saramago's novel debuted in 1947 with a then repudiated by the same writer. The success came much later in 1980 with a land called Alentejo , but from that point on, every book has marked important milestones for the Portuguese and European literature, with masterpieces such as The Year of death of Ricardo Reis (1984), The Gospel According to Jesus Christ (1991), Blindness (1995). Until his last novel, Cain, published in Italy a few weeks ago, among other things a short distance Papers from Lanzarote, extract of his diaries published in Italy in the spring.
disrespect for authority and deeply steeped in humanism, Saramago has invented a unique drama, made a sort of continuous inner dialogue in which no place more stringent constraints of punctuation . The speech flows in a continuous mass of words that take harmonica, page after page, the concrete structure of a superb building, and perhaps not easily accessible. As if Kafka's Castle - or the Tower of Babel, to cite biblical examples dear to Saramago - had been made sound and writing, in literary architecture of up to take on a corporation.
Because the figure of the writer is also a constant renewal of the human, in a polemic with the official religion that has its roots in antiquity. Almost for the Nobel Prize in 1998, with his page so full of epic grandeur , the Bible was somehow a book in which rival , literarily means. The vocation of his humanist reading of religious history is much deeper than a simple atheist, and focuses on the figure of Christ: "Before Jesus - writes in Notebooks - the men were already able to forgive, but no gods ". And Cain reading Saramago's almost sacrifice of Isaac, told from the perspective of the child, is both great literature and reports of violence incomprehensible.
Saramago, inscribed at the Portuguese Communist Party since the end of the Sixties, also took tough political positions. In his Blindness, footsteps of Plague by Camus, described totalitarian madness in the form of the disease view. But in Italy are known above all its controversy with Silvio Berlusconi, who among other things, the writer has called "a criminal". To the charge of defamation against the Knights a different edition of his notebook was rejected by Einaudi, the Mondadori group, and appeared for the types of Bollati Boringhieri.

Kitchen Aid Parts In Montreal
Maradona, the last (dummy) soccer star humanist
There are Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Milito, Drogba and Eto'o, but perhaps the last true star ( human ) of the football World Cup in South Africa is about to start him again, the indomitable and unconquerable Diego Maradona. At the head of un'Argentina which on paper has everything to win the World Cup, except perhaps the unpredictability of his coach . Fandango for the occasion once again in the pocket of the extraordinary autobiography Pibe de Oro I am El Diego , a book that irresistible, picaresque, with apparent humility, does nothing but add new life to the myth of a sample absolute. A bit 'the same thing done by the film Emir Kusturica's Maradona ( he sings hand de Dios, UNFORGETTABLE ), only this time Diego speaks in person. At the time of the football players and hyper-cyborg professionalized, read the story of the poor child became a world star in spite of itself is an experience of the liberating and the nostalgic.
The personality of Maradona is overflowing since the dedication of the book: a list of people across two pages, the daughters unto God ( elsewhere called "the bearded" ), passing for "all players in the world, Fidel Castro , Caniggia, Ciro Ferrara and Michael Jordan, not to mention "the lawyers have come up with my friend from prison." Already here we pure Dada, but subsequent pages are no different. Maradona says candidly of the best gift of all his life, the first balloon : "I had three years and I slept all night hug." Diego's little remained in the collective dream that TV recording: play and win a World Cup with Argentina. Reviewing images is now impossible not to think of words like "destiny", but in reality is the same as Maradona to explain that "it was the same dream of every kid, like all the others. " Different is that Diego has done it , but even here the path was neither simple nor straightforward. In 1978, remains out of the Seleccion then win the Cup under the icy gaze of the military, nell'1982 has a great opportunity, is the star of the tournament, but again, thanks to Italy Bearzot and Gentile, things go wrong . "What is safe - says Maradona - is that I was to lose most of all: since no one was threatening me, no more than I wanted things to go well."
Diego, while his boundless ego, the book maintains a perspective constant amazement, as if he expected never to be appreciated. When the coach asks him to become captain Bilardo of Argentina cries of joy when it finally raises her World Cup in 1986 will not let anyone else: "I wanted to be sure that were true, it was ours, the Argentine ". The years in Barcelona are turbulent and marked by constant tension with the President Nuñez, culminating in an amazing protest with the launch of trophies in the seat of the Catalan club. Then it's Naples, and the war of Diego, a champion of the poor and "southerners" against the power teams in the North. The story is well known, including the sad ending . And like any epic that respect, even that of Maradona says at one point gloomy, and Diego meet the Camorra. "I know - he writes - it was something intriguing that world, I admit. For the Argentines was a novelty: the mafia!, And how will the mafia!? There was something fascinating about this. " The dark side is always ready to seize the hero, Maradona in the gray area has walked a long time.
final note on this. Maradona at the World Cup has everything to lose and probably many are waiting for the pass. But if he wins, even to FIFA, where they have never loved, could not not notice that it would be the best way to revive the timeless legend of football . A game whose greatest performer of all time was one, writes the same as Maradona, who was training every day in the garage. A cross between Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, obviously insane, which is fighting against the windmills of what it describes as the Power. Fantastic

What Is Touched Indian
Parents Day
Saturday, May 22 was held in the courtyard of our school party. This year we tried to involve children and devote our attention to them. The games designed for elementary school children for both boys had an average success: many took part and thanks to their enthusiasm, the festival was successful. Unfortunately, as required by the "first time", the inexperience created difficulties and for this we apologize. The people of the Parents' Committee who organized the party, believe me, they put heart and soul into what they do, but not always what you thought on paper, then fails in practice. The commitment is to make good use of all criticism, errors, many positive aspects all need to improve on and your next party will be even better. Economically we have collected just over € 2400: result which seems of little importance given the box office last year, but we must remember that the lottery we anticipated at Easter. Considering therefore the lottery and the party together, we have exceeded 5000 €. In addition, we have already paid their caps and T-shirts: This investment has enabled us to obtain a better price supply, but are still for sale and we expect a revenue of about € 1800. I would say that the work has certainly paid all our efforts. I wait for the next steps and I thank you from my heart: the result must be shared with those who have worked hard for the school and our children. Thanks.
